UPPER EAST SIDE APARTMENT
Manhattan, New York

This Manhattan residence underwent a complete gut renovation, reimagined to harmonize timeless design principles with the needs of modern living. Our interior design approach was rooted in minimal design and subtle sophistication, prioritizing flow, light, and connection between spaces. From the outset, the challenge was to honor the building’s traditional architecture while crafting a home that feels both current and personal. Embracing the inherent structure of the apartment, we designed thoughtful interventions to maximize views, natural light, and spatial efficiency.

THOUGHTFUL INTERVENTIONS AND BESPOKE MILLWORK TRANSFORM THE APARTMENT'S ORIGINAL LAYOUT, MAXIMIZING LIGHT, VIEWS, AND SPATIAL FLOW.

Bespoke millwork plays a central role in the transformation, sculpting the interiors with purpose. Custom-designed walnut volumes define and separate the living spaces without fully closing them off, preserving a sense of openness and connectivity. These elements ground the design, adding warmth, texture, and cohesion throughout. Every detail, from the integrated storage to the tailored architectural lines, was considered to serve both form and function. This New York City interior celebrates refined simplicity through the use of healthy and sustainable materials, layered textures, and a warm, organic palette.
